Adoption Sites MapDownload

There were three adoptions sites working on the national Adopt and Spread Programme and they are all at varying stages of adoption of the rapid palliative radiotherapy clinic and service. At Velindre NHS Trust, the clinic has been initiated during COVID-19 with patients accessing the service. The findings are now being reviewed for a a full business case to continue the service. At Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), there were disruptions due to COVID-19 but the adoption work continues. The staff are being trained and the clinic will be underway soon. At Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB), the training has been initiated and the clinic is being set up.

All the adoption sites have been learning from each other, and the teams at BCUHB and SBUHB have attended clinics virtually (previously planned as on-site visits) to understand the details of the project and how to adopt it in their location.
